Meet Dr. Anna Martinez-Snyder
Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in anxiety and OCD for children, teens, college students, adults, and families.
If anxiety or OCD has been running your life — or affecting your child, teen, or family — you may be feeling exhausted, frustrated, or unsure of what to do next.
I help children, teens, college students, adults, and parents break free from anxiety and OCD using evidence-based therapy that is practical, collaborative, and focused on lasting change.
Whether you're seeking support for yourself or your child, my goal is to help you feel more confident, capable, and in control of your life again.
What It's Like to Work With Me
Clients often tell me they appreciate having a therapist who is warm, supportive, and practical. I strive to create a nonjudgmental environment where you feel understood while also having a clear plan for moving forward.
Together, we identify the patterns that keep anxiety and OCD going and develop concrete strategies to help you move forward.
Therapy with me is collaborative, goal-oriented, and focused on helping you build skills you can continue using long after therapy ends.
Why I Specialize in Anxiety and OCD
One of the reasons I specialize in anxiety and OCD is because I have seen the significant impact these challenges can have on people's lives. Anxiety and OCD can affect relationships, school, work, confidence, and the ability to fully participate in the things that matter most.
I have also seen how much change is possible with effective treatment. When people learn evidence-based skills and begin responding differently to anxiety, they often discover they are capable of far more than anxiety or OCD has led them to believe.
Watching clients build confidence, face fears they once avoided, and return to activities that are important to them is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. Those experiences continue to reinforce my passion for helping children, teens, adults, and families overcome anxiety and OCD.
Evidence-Based Treatment
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD and many anxiety disorders. These approaches help clients reduce avoidance, face fears gradually, and build confidence in their ability to manage difficult thoughts and feelings.

Children and Teens
Anxiety and OCD can make childhood and adolescence feel much harder than they need to be. Some children avoid school, activities, or social situations, while others become overwhelmed by worries, fears, rituals, or emotional outbursts.
I help children and teens develop the skills to face fears, manage anxiety, and build confidence. When appropriate, I also work closely with parents to support progress outside of sessions and create consistency across environments.

College Students and Young Adults
The transition to adulthood often comes with new responsibilities, increased independence, and uncertainty about the future. Anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, academic stress, and major life transitions can make this stage feel overwhelming.
I help college students and young adults navigate these challenges, build resilience, and develop practical strategies to manage anxiety while pursuing their personal, academic, and professional goals.

Adults
Anxiety and OCD can affect nearly every area of life, including relationships, work, decision-making, and overall well-being. Many adults find themselves stuck in cycles of worry, avoidance, overthinking, or self-doubt that make it difficult to fully engage in the things that matter most.
I help adults reduce anxiety's grip, face fears with greater confidence, and develop skills that allow them to live more freely and intentionally.

Parents
Watching your child struggle with anxiety or OCD can leave you feeling worried, frustrated, or unsure how to help. Many parents find themselves walking a difficult line between supporting their child and accidentally reinforcing anxiety.
Through parent coaching, I help parents better understand anxiety and OCD, respond more effectively to challenging situations, and build strategies that support their child's long-term progress and independence.
